Who are we?
Mullangio Pictures was established in 2023 by Patrick Mulligan and Jesse Palangio with a simple mandate in mind: to develop, produce, and deliver independent Canadian feature films. Drawing on a skillset that has been honed through numerous productions, themselves ranging a number of genres, formats, and budget tiers, this team thrives on producing professional quality content at a grassroots level, and prides itself on forming lasting relationships with the partners it engages to do so.
Patrick Mulligan
Patrick Mulligan is a multi award-winning writer-director, and one of the founding partners of Mullangio. A born storyteller, Patrick has been producing works of fiction and poetry since he was in high school, and the introspection lent to these mediums imbue his filmmaking at present no less. Since 2019 he has helmed numerous projects, many of which have screened at both local and international festivals, and has won numerous accolades for his work.
Jesse Palangio
Jesse Palangio is a veteran cinematographer, and a founding partner of Mullangio. Starting his career as an actor, Jesse fell in love with the technical process of capturing images during theater school, where he quickly pivoted to working behind the camera. Offering expertise in all aspects of image capture, from lighting to operation, Jesse has overseen the technical execution of numerous productions, and seamlessly works to achieve looks across the genre spectrum.
Damon Cox
Growing up in rural Ontario, Damon found his creative passion through exploring and playing pretend, and that never ended. Movies were Damon’s escape, and he devoted his life to learning every aspect, from acting to writing, editing and directing. Damon continually strives to craft deep stories with a team of talented peers, and to see an intangible idea come to life to share with the world.
Brett Shuck
Brett Shuck is a camera operator, drone enthusiast, and on-set jack-of-all-trades. Having spent his youth immersed in classic films and studying the teams behind them, he brings that deep knowledge to his work with Mullangio. Though initially drawn to YouTube creation, Brett found his true calling elsewhere and dedicated himself to mastering technical camera and drone work across multiple film sets—building skills and connections along the way. Since 2017, he has applied these talents to numerous Mullangio projects while collaborating with other creatives in the local scene.
